NCA senior, McKenzie Ziegler, recently earned a Certificate in Nurse Aid and Competency Evaluation at Terra State Community College. The certificate is required for McKenzie to participate in the written exam and performance demonstration components of the Competency Evaluation Program (CEP) conducted by the Director of Health.

2024 Commencement
Kalissa Benavides successfully passed the Rise Up Customer Service and Sales exam today, earning another 6 industry recognized credentials. Congratulations, Kalissa on your accomplishment.
Arianna Espinosa-Snowden, Autumn Taylor and Haley Johnson participated in their internship orientation at Good Shepherd Home in Fostoria. The internship is part of the Elder Care program through LeadingAge in collaboration with North Central Academy. Students complete 16 hours of classroom activities, a minimum of 16 hours interning in a local elder care facility, pass a final exam and write an essay about their experience to earn 4 industry recognized credentials.

Members of the NCA STEM team traveled to COSI in Columbus with Mr. Dezse and Mrs. Bernard for a day of adventure and fun. From gadgets, underwater adventures, the solar system, dinosaurs and the Titanic, they were able to explore science outside the walls of school. The last event in the planetarium theater explained how the total eclipse will evolve on April 8. Thank you COSI for hosting our group. #cosi

Students from North Central Academy met with Steve Musil, TPC Food Service/Tiffin Transportation Human Resources Coordinator for a tour of their new facility in Tiffin. Mr. Musil explained the company’s long-standing history and commitment to Tiffin and the surrounding area. Students learned about the vast product lines, geographical area of customers they serve, and benefits offered to employees. After the tour, students were treated to lunch at Taco Bell.

We are thrilled to unveil our exciting school fundraiser, "Playhouse Project," brought to you by our NCA Carpentry class. These students have poured their time, energy and skills learned from class into crafting a wonderful playhouse, using materials generously donated to our Carpentry program.
Here's how you can participate and support our cause:

A big Thank You to Tricia Reinhard from Superior Credit Union for coming to NCA to talk to the Middle School students about credit unions and the banking industry. Tricia explained the difference between the credit unions and the traditional banks along with suggesting that we start investing money as soon as possible for a brighter financial future!

National School Counseling Week 2024, “School Counseling: Better Together,” sponsored by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), is being celebrated from Feb. 5–9, 2024, to focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within U.S. school systems and how students are different as a result of what school counselors do. National School Counseling Week highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success, plan for a career, and ensure our students continue to receive the care and guidance they need. NCA is celebrating our School Counselor, Ms. Rita Overmier and our Mental Health Counselor Ms. Christa Holt. Thank you for all you do!
