Grace Fortune successfully completed Rise Up Retail Industry Fundamentals and received her certificate worth 6 industry recognized credentials.
Retail Industry Fundamentals is an opportunity for students to develop basic customer service and math skills to conduct sales transactions and build an understanding of the retail industry.
On the morning of October 4th, Tim Linder, Field Representative from the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers of Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky, Union 23 Toledo Chapter will speak to NCA students about their apprenticeship program and occupations in the field. If there are any Sentinel students who wish to attend, they will need permission from their parent/guardian. The parent/guardian is responsible for contacting Sentinel. They will also need to let NCAs front desk know.
Janiyah Tucker has successfully passed her Rise Up Customer Service and Sales certification. The Customer Service and Sales Certification measures a student’s grasp of excellent customer service. The course develops problem-solving skills that help them meet customer needs, become valuable workplace teammates, and achieve career goals. This gives Janiyah 6 industry recognized credentials toward graduation.

October 13th is nationally recognized as the official Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day, in an effort to drive awareness that MORE research is needed to find a cure. Only about 5% of overall breast cancer research in the U.S. goes to MBC research.
NCA does not have class on October 13th so please wear your PINK October 12th!
Unity Day is Oct. 18th. It's a day to celebrate kindness, inclusiveness, and acceptance.
It is a day to stand up to Bullying. Wear your Orange to spread awareness.
As part of our educational program here at North Central Academy, your child will have the opportunity to participate in an Exploration Day that will be held on Terra State Community College's campus. Students will get a campus tour (including labs), FREE lunch, and interactive tables. The interactive tables will incorporate all of Terra's programs, student organizations, athletics, and Terra's music department. The tables will be set up in the Student Activities Center for the students to check out, gather information, and to watch any demonstrations available. I would love for your student to join NCA on this day to see all that Terra State has to offer.
We will leave NCA by bus at 9:30am and will return to NCA by 1:30pm. Students will be transported via a Tiffin City School Bus. This visit will start at 10:00am and end at 1:00pm.
Please complete this form by Monday, September 25th, 2023 before 3:30pm. I strongly encourage you to complete this form before the day of this field trip to ensure your student attends.

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month —a time to raise awareness of this stigmatized, and often taboo, topic. We use this month to shift public perception, spread hope and share vital information to people affected by suicide.

Returning students and families are also encouraged to attend to complete any of those remaining back to school tasks like, updating FinalForms, completing the School Lunch Program application or to touch base with our School Counselor about your schedule.
