Seneca Conservation District is excited to share two scholarship opportunities for local students.
The purpose of the Seneca Conservation District scholarship is to provide support for applicants pursuing science-based careers that relate to the mission of SCD. Eligibility requirements include: high school senior or college bound in the fall, minimum 3.0 GPA, science-related degree, and applicant and parent/guardian must be a resident of Seneca County.
The purpose of the Tia J. Rice scholarship is to provide support for applicants pursuing education at The Ohio State University that will amplify the mission and work of SCD for the future. Eligibility requirements include attendance at The Ohio State University (any branch) and a conservation-related major. Preference will be given to Seneca County residents and children of soil and water conservation district employees.
Applications must be mailed, e-mailed, or returned to the Seneca Conservation District office by 4:30 p.m. April 4, 2025. The applications are available at conservesenecacounty.com.
